Apprenticeship Program

What is a registered apprenticeship?
Registered Apprenticeship is a training system that produces highly skilled child care providers. An apprenticeship offers an effective combination of academic course work and on-the-job training. This opportunity is for professionals new to the field of early care and education and for those already in the field seeking to advance themselves.

As an apprentice you receive:
· 4000 hours of on-the-job training
· 288 hours of related instruction
· Support from a trained supervisor
· 100% tuition and books paid
· A nationally recognized Child Development Specialist (CDS) Registered Apprenticeship Certificate

As a job site supervisor you gain:
· Continuously trained and motivated staff
· An opportunity to be a role model by sharing your knowledge and skills.

As a sponsoring center you will:
· Participate in a nationally recognized program
· Gain more highly skilled staff
· Reduce risk of staff turnover
